Meet Our Team

Dr. Chris Giummarra

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Chris has been at Hampton Veterinary Hospital since 2008.  He graduated from Melbourne University in 2004 before  undertaking a 3 year stint in a mixed animal practice in country Victoria. Chris enjoys all the challenges of general practice, especially surgery and ultrasonography and loves caring for all the beloved 'fur babies' of local families.

Chris took over ownership and management of Hampton Vet in 2019, fulfilling a long term career goal.

He has 2 German Short Haired Pointers named 'Calla' and 'Koko' and a cat called "Chloe."

He enjoys playing tennis, watching the football (go Dees!) and hanging out with his two school age sons, Henry and Wesley.

Dr. Danny Jedwab

Veterinarian

Danny graduated from Murdoch University in 1983.  He worked as a locum Veterinarian for a year before working in a clinic in this local area.  He became the practice manager and eventually purchased the practice, then moving it to the current custom-built site of Hampton Veterinary Hospital in 1990.  He wanted to have a Veterinary clinic which was run his way, providing excellent service and care to his clients.

Since graduation, he has continued education in advanced orthopaedics and continues to practice and innovate.

In his spare time his main aim is to try and train his German Short Hair Pointer Indy to stay off the furniture.  He also has a Swiss Shepherd called Arlo.  Danny also has a keen interest in remote controlled aeroplanes!

Dr. Tanya Crowley

Veterinarian

Tanya has been a Veterinarian at Hampton Veterinary Hospital since 1996; having started as a new graduate from Melbourne University.  She gets a profound sense of satisfaction being a vet and helping animals as she knows they are absolutely precious to their owners.

She loves the familiarity of the clinic and the clients, seeing the full life cycle of many familiar patients and being part of the journey.

Tanya works at the clinic part-time and in her spare time she loves cooking (her speciality being lasagne), reading and spending time with her two children Adam and Hannah.  She also has 2 four legged family members, Staffys by the name of Boris and Zara.

At home she has a Border Collie called ‘Maxi’ and a cat called ‘Misty’. In her spare time Gabi enjoys going out for dinner, travelling and spending time with her friends, family and pets.

Sandra

Veterinary Nurse

Sandra is a Veterinarian from Croatia who wanted to come to Australia and have some new experiences, learn English and see how Veterinary clinics operate here.  She was fortunate to be sponsored by Hampton Veterinary Hospital as a Veterinary Nurse in 2013 and has fallen in love with Australia!

She has a German Short Hair Pointer called 'Duman'.

Kerry

Veterinary Nurse

Kerry is one of our long standing staff members, having been here since 2007.  She loves the small clinic feel even though the clinic has grown in the time she has been here.  She has also made a lot of friends with both staff and clients and enjoys that each day is different from the last.

She is a mother to two beautiful girls and Newfoundlboys  called "Baker" and "Howie". (lots of grooming involved there!).

In her spare time she spends her summers and most weekends on the Murray River.  The rest of the time she can be found with her extended family.

Alex

Veterinary Nurse

Alex first came to the clinic as a high school student in 2013 to do her Duke of Edinborough.

She became an official staff member in March 2016 as a trainee Vet Nurse.  As well as working part-time at the clinic, she is currently studying her Masters of Agricultural Science at the University of Melbourne.

Alex is particularly fond of Labradors and Golden Retrievers and would love to own one in the future.

In her spare time Alex enjoys taking barre classes, travel, skiiing and is a long time loyal supporter of the Melbourne Demons.

Sarah

Veterinary Nurse

Sarah started with the clinic in 2015 as a Trainee Vet Nurse and has been undertaking her Certificate IV in Vet Nursing which she has now completed.  She loves the people around her and especially LOVES the animals she gets to look after on a daily basis. She is definitely a dog person and has a very quirky Maltese x Shih Tzu called Alice who is very attention seeking. It's ironic as she loves big dogs and has ended up with a small one!

Sarah is our clinic "motorhead" and loves cars, motorbikes and adventures!

Brodie

Veterinary Nurse

Brodie has been with the clinic since 2015 as a trainee nurse and has certainly learned from the best.  She has now completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
